Shirley A. Mitchell
Associate Attorney
Shirley A. Mitchell is an associate at Slate and associates. Her practice is primarily focused on family law. She has represented clients in complex litigations, mediations and appeals involving domestic relation matters.
Prior to joining our firm, Shirley was an advocate for parents and children in cases involving Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. She understands the importance of thoroughly investigating a case to develop a winning strategy for her clients.
She graduated from the University of Houston with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and is a graduate of Thurgood Marshall School of Law. She is licensed to practice in the State of Texas, Southern District and The Eastern District.
Shirley has supported human rights initiatives involving children. And, has successfully drafted and argued Asylum cases for unaccompanied minors in Immigration Court.
Shirley has an ASA Certification and enjoys open water sailing.
